OK..It`s the second time i see Priest in another country than Sweden. It was very nice to spend some time in Tallinn. If you havent been to Tallinn/Estonia before and plan a trip to the city i suggest you find a hotel in the old town.. there are lots of medieval houses there etc! Very very nice.
One thing i noticed is that they played mostly Swedish music on the radio here which was fun but a bit strange..hehe.. Made me feel like home. Actually Tallinn reminds me much about Sweden..except the language of course. It is me and Peter K and LEATHERX that flew over together from Sweden to see Priest live. It enjoyed very much meeting you aswell mai!! Nice to meet you in person for the first time!! I also talked alot with Daniela (Lita77) and her friend outside the arena. The show: The venue is called Saku Suurhall. (SAKU is the name of a beer they sell over here. Suur means "big") Its a quite new arena and i liked it. It was not full but there was not to many empty seats. Also there was no seats an the floor..it means standing-tickets which i like. I saw Priest live in the very beginning of the tour so it was very interesting to see them again in the very end of the tour. 100 shows later... The opening act sang metal in russian. I enjoyed watching them but when at a Priest-show the focus is on Priest! The same songs was played in the speakers before the show. Like Sad But True, Back In Black etc. Gets you in the mood! It was cool to watch the Estonian crowd. There were classic metalheads in black. I saw very young people...school/kids etc...i enjoy watching crowds. I guess for most of them it was the first Priest/show. About Priest i jst can say: WOW!! God they were good. Rob`s voice was very very strong! And those high notes were incredible! Dogs are howling all across Estonia!!! The band was very tight and in an excellent shape. The self-esteem was on high! I have noticed through the years that Robs voice gets stronger and stronger during the tour which Rob again proved to be right. It was the first time for me to hear the mighty Hellrider live which was a big moment for me. And it was amazing indeed! Especially the screams in the end of the song! One thing i noticed was that Rob used the leather-hat during LAM also. Cool! It was one of the best shows i have seen with Priest. Very very good performance. And the crowd was good aswell..i saw Priest enoyed Tallinn. Actually Rob talked quite alot about it after Diamonds And Rust...thanking everyone for waiting so many years for them. Also in the end of the show he shouted that "The Priest will be back!!!" :metal: Judas Priest in Tallinn was a great concert. Time to fly back to Sweden! /Ove |

Priest in Tallinn
Hello, Mai and Ove !
I enjoyed the Tallin gig just as much as you did , wonderful crowd with a mix of ages , all from little kids sitting on their parents shoulders to very old drunk people doing their best to sing along , it was beautiful ! This trip was worth to sell the guitar , travelling with a serious case of asthma ( Thank God, the extiement didn't kill me before the show! ) , just to leave everyday seriousness aside for a while . This will be a memorable ending of this year. Thank you Mai and Ove for being fun to be with , i'll look forward till next time ! |

It was really great to spend time with you Mai and Paloma!! :metal: And what a good JP-show it was in Tallinn!! Me and Peter are back up north now.
