They played the State Theater in Detroit. Ripper Killed! It was a great Priest Show. I will never forget it. It was a close as you could get to hearing ROB. It ruled.

I saw this tour in Philadelphia, Pa. The Electric Factory and there was around 1500 peolple. What a great show. I was listening to Jugulator since it came out and was in awe of the RIPPER, but was still sceptical because of the range even I can have in the studio. But the live show really blew me away. He was awesome, and I was so glad that Glenn, Ken, and Ian were on stage again. It was on January 7th and it was very cold. The very day following ROB's "coming out" on MTV. Judas Priest played the next day in Philly. I waited outside with about 30 peolple in the freezing 1 degree weather. The band didn't come out for like two hours and the crowd was now down to like 6-8 people. Funny story ~ I did notice this older, fine looking lady with a long fur coat and a skirt and calf high boots, waiting in the shadows also. Well the band started to come out one by one and were eager to sign autographs. I still have my ticket stub sighed by everyone but Scott. He never came outside. When Ken signed my ticket I remember saying to him, "How does it feel to be back on top again" he said "It feels good" and he smiled. So after they all got on the bus and eventually started to pull out of the parking lot, we were immediately behind the tour bus. Well they turned the corner and drove all the way to Spring Garden street, but before they turned they pulled over to the side alittle, and it was a one way street and we couldnt go around the bus, so we waited. They were stopped for a few seconds when the bus door opened and the older, fine looking woman with the fur coat walks off the bus. I surmise she was blowing the band. But hey, thats just my quess. PEACE RICHIE

I Love You Rob Halford.
The second leg of the Demolition tour was played in a small club in Dallas - part of a bowling alley (I can't remember the name of the place.) 3-400 people. It was great. I stood back about 30 feet from the stage, dead stage center on the bar level. Perfect view, perfect sound, loud as hell and intimate. It was so cool seeing them in a small venue.

Must have been really depressing for the band though.

The Bronco Bowl Canyon Club. They (The Bronco Bowl and the Canyon Club)were cool places to see shows. Too bad they tore it down to put up a Home Depot.

Saw Priest at the Civic Hall,Wolverhampton (uk),on the Jugulator tour.
Its one of my fav venues (got a nice sound)...........but I found it very strange watching Tim Owens front the band.
It was a good gig tho and Owens could certainly blast it out live.
Its just for me (like many) Rob Halford IS Judas Priest`s singer.
I saw them a few times on this tour. I think I saw one of the first shows they did in Boston at some small club, forget the name. Then I caught them again on the last night of the tour in New York city, where apparently Ripper did not greet his fans after the show. I remember being really excited to see the band after going nuts over the Jugulator album. Took me a few tries to get into it, and then I thought it was the cat's meow, especially the title track! The band seemed to be having a lot of fun onstage. They were definitely happy to be back.
If I remember right, some of the Jugulator Tour was played in very small venues by Priest standards today and in the past.
I have not seen many pics from these smaller shows (I did see one in the KK appreciation thread)
Anyone have some pics of Priest in some of those small stripped down venues on the Jug tour?
Thanks.
I wish I had a scanner, for I took some GREAT shots of the band at the three Jugulator shows I saw - NYC, Philadelphia, and Ft. Lauderdale.
The NYC show was at Roseland, and the Philly show at the Electric Factory. Both places are fairly big for that kind of venue, especially Roseland. Both places are HUGE compared to the Button South, where I saw them in South Florida that October. Low, tiny stage, and the band was RIGHT in our faces. It was just weird seeing Priest in a place that tiny.

I was at that Philly show. Great performance, and a great day and night over all. After the show, some guy outside was selling a VIP aftershow pass for $15, which I bought. It was totally legit, and I got a chance to hang with KK, Glenn, and Ripper. Ian showed up a little later, and Scott showed up at the very end. They were all very cool guys. There were about 15 people there.
As lucky as I got with that, the luck began earlier that afternoon, when my friend and I were walking around downtown Philly, shortly after getting into town from NYC. My friend had stopped at a hotel to use the bathroom, and when we walked out of the lobby, we see a big, silver bus parked in front of the hotel across the street. My bud was convinced it was Priest after seeing what seemed like a longhaired figure through one of the bus's tinted windows. We decided to casually hang out in that hotel's lobby, and sure enough, Glenn stepped outside the bus a few minutes later, followed by the rest of the guys. We hit them up for pictures and autographs, and they were totally cool about it. We were the only ones there. Here we were, two out-of-towners taking a downtown stroll to kill time in a city we don't even know our way around, only to run into Priest. Hard to believe all this fell into place, even after missing our train stop and having to wait for another train to take us to the Philly station! Talk about luck being on your side.
We also saw the Jugulator show the night before that at Roseland in NYC. That show was INTENSE.

I was at that show too. Weird place to see them. Good show but it wasn't quite the same.
